Baymont by Wyndham Roanoke Rapids

Passing through from New Hampshire to Disney and needed a place to sleep for the night. Booked our room through Priceline on our way down and saved an extra $10 with their Express Deal. Man at front desk was polite and efficient. Our room was a standard room with two double beds. My husband, 10yr old and I shared one bed (which was just as snug as we expected) and our 14 and 15yr olds shared the other bed. We didn't check out the pool or fitness area. The room has clean and odor free. Floors were new. A/C, lights, fridge, and microwave were all functioning and in good shape. Minimal wear and tear. I did check for bedbugs and there was no evidence of the little buggers. Not a single roach anywhere. Small amount of mildew on bathroom ceiling even though the vent fan works great. Free Continental Breakfast from 6-9am. Nice dining area with big screen T.V. running the local news. Coffee, juice, waffle maker, bagels, frozen breakfast sandwiches, muffins, toast, instant grits, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. It was quite a nice spread and the dining area was clean and bright. Parking lot was bright and visible from the lobby and our room. Other guests were friendly and seemed well put together. No loud parties, loud beligerent guests, fights, or gunshots. We felt very safe here with our three young girls overnight and woke up to a pretty sunrise off the balcony to enjoy our hot coffee. Will be staying again the next time we pass through. Definitely recommend as a clean, safe stay for families and single travelers.

Perfect choice for a disabled senior citizen with a service dog. The mobility-accessible rooms don't have any carpet, are exceptionally clean, and they have numerous unobtrusive safety features. Only thing I do not enjoy is the 'free' breakfast. The removable magnetic tub/shower seat is really wonderful! As a driver, I do not eat a breakfast that is carb/sugar intensive. But I can a healthy breakfast for under $10 just across the street. The desk staff suggested an adjacent locally owned buffet restaurant. It didn't look like much, but the staff were really nice. The server brought my dog a water bowl and held his leash while I filled a take-out tray. And that place had absolutely perfect fried chicken. So... other than breakfast, this budget friendly Baymont is a 10/10 for tired solo drivers.

It was excellent for the price. Room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast decent, good waffles!!!, staff accomadating. I had to ask for more pillows, but after persuasion of the night manager I did get them There were only 3 small pillows for two people, originally. There was no water in the breakfast room. There was only one nightstand lamp, but sufficient other lighting in the room. I only saw one outlet in the room to plug in phone charger. Towels were thick and soft. The lobby was really nice and inviting. The lobby, breakfast room and our room and bathroom were spotless. All that and such nice staff wins my recommendation and 4 star review.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful!! We were having car trouble and my husband was doing the repairs that we needed in the parking lot... Unfortunately, it took longer than expected, so I asked for a late check out, he not only gave us one, but two extra hours, so he could finish with the car and be able to shower before we got back on the road!! It was very generous and appreciated!! Sam was also very nice! We had a wonderful conversation, when I checked in! And my son loved swimming in the pool at night!! It was beautiful!

The room was comfortable and clean. A few stains here and there are evidence that it is a popular lodging for crew workers.several work trucks were parked there for my stay. The price range makes sense for that since it is a good value for a slightly better than basic lodging. The furniture was in good shape and clean as well. The bathroom was clean and had great water pressure for showering. Although it could use a fresh paint job and a carpet cleaning, it met my expectations for the price level. The late evening staff were not unfriendly, but were not aiming to please either. They simply did their job adequately which, as I keep repeating, is what I expect at that price level. The morning crew were more outgoing and eager to please, but were just starting their shifts, so the comparison is not equal. The breakfast was slightly better than expected and the coffee was great. That is worth the bump to 4 stars for me. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service I received for what I paid. However, it is not for those that expect to receive $100/night quality at a bargain basement price.

Room was clean, ample size, older, functional furnishings. The microwave was on it's last days working and there was not a functional ice machine on the property. Nice mini fridge with freezer. Water got hot for showering. Heater/AC worked but could use a cleaning and cosmetic work. Pool was closed for winter.

First, I am a traveling nurse. So I stay at hotels a lot. The rooms have been good. Wish the lobby would open back up for breakfast. And the pool. But the staff has ALWAYS been very generous and kind to me! There was only one time I had a slight issue. My a/c wasn't working very well, so Ms. Tiffany moved me to another room without any hesitation. Yeah, they are in the process of remodeling the rooms, so some have carpet, some have laminate wood flooring (which are beautiful btw!).

Overall I had a very good time at Baymont in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. The hotel is very conveniently located a minute or two off rt 95. Nearby are popular food chains, shopping, alcohol etc. The room, in and of itself, is a standard room. We’re not talking about a Five star hotel folks. It’s a place to put your family to sleep for a night or two. However… that bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve been on besides my own!! And my morning view was amazing!! I had coffee in my room watching the sunrise! I Absolutely Recommend This Hotel!!! Now, this reason I rated it Five Stars is because of the staff here. I can’t remember when I’ve been to a hotel where EVERY member of their team was so friendly and helpful! Knowing that they may never see me again, they were still so very friendly and supportive. Conversations were intelligent and sometimes entertaining. I had a great stay there at Baymont!! I will certainly be back again
